William & Mary Women installation

We transformed the student space at W&M to celebrate the 100th anniversary of co-education at the University. The installation included hanging banners, vinyl wall wraps on the atrium facade, lobby wall and tabletops, as well as a 12' acrylic photo panel.
Design used throughout the space echoed the shapes and colors of the anniversary brand our team created. Images featured students from 10 decades and our aim was to weave them together so that they came together as one experience, rather than a 'timeline' elevating one period of our history over another. Each unique experience has made us who we are as a university.
Students and alumnae are invited to participate in the installation by weaving a ribbon with the name of a William & Mary woman who has impacted his or her life into one of three frames located in the student center.
Beautiful photography by Alfred Herczeg :)
